Location: Oradea, Băile Tuşnad

This was a project where The Carpathian Youth Association from Hungary (KIE) and us organized a 1.1. Bilateral Youth Exchange where we wisewd to share the experiences of the two associations in the field of social work, non-formal education, free time planning and helping underprivileged young people. Our objective was to organize an 8 day program in Baile Tusnad and in the outskirts of the city with the participation of 10-10 people. The main theme of the project explored the theoretical and practical possibilities of the social integration of these children (including a lot of roma children) who are growing up in orphanages or in child care homes. Besides these we put a big accent on the self-evolution of the participants, the informal teaching and on the organizing the free time in a way that this should be active.
During the exchange we discussed the problems of orphans. We have spent four days with the children of the Saint Laslie Child Care Center in Baile Tusnad, and many children around the city.
Between the 20 participants there were some, who could utilize the experiances gained during the project in the professional life, and there were participants entirely laic considering the learning. In the selection of the participants a factor was the chosing participants from both hungarian and romanian part, who are in a social disadvantage.
